Manager App

The manager runs on the pedal. Open it in a browser to edit sounds on a larger screen. You do not need to install a desktop application.

Connect to the pedal

  1. Connect the pedal to your network with Ethernet.
  2. Find the pedal IP address in your router.
  3. Open the address in a browser, followed by :8080.
http://<pedal-ip>:8080

On the first connection, the pedal shows a one-time setup code on its display. Enter the code in the browser. Then create a local username and password for the pedal.

If your network supports local device names, the address can also look like http://ardor-XXXXXXXX.local:8080. See the Getting Started guide if you have not started the pedal yet.

Set up Wi-Fi

Keep Ethernet connected for the first setup. In the manager, open Settings, choose Wi-Fi, enter your network details, and save. The pedal can disconnect while it reconnects. After the connection returns, open the manager at the new network address and remove Ethernet if you want.

Edit a preset

  1. Choose a bank and preset slot.
  2. Open the chain editor.
  3. Drag blocks to change their order.
  4. Use + to add an effect.
  5. Open a block to change its controls.
  6. Choose Save, then Apply to use the sound.

Ardor checks the chain before it applies a preset. You can undo an edit before you save it. See Signal Chain & Routing for the order of the blocks.

Add your own sounds

Open the asset library to add sounds to the pedal. You can add amp models, cabinet sounds, and reverb sounds. After an upload finishes, the new sound is available in the chain editor.

Ardor does not include third-party amp models, cabinet sounds, or reverb sounds. Add only files you own or have permission to use. TONE3000 is available from the hosted manager for compatible content.

Hosted manager

The local manager works on your home network and does not need the internet. An optional hosted manager can connect a claimed pedal to your account over a secure connection. Use the hosted service when you need remote access or TONE3000 browsing. The local manager remains available when the pedal has no internet connection.

Advanced: file types

Advanced users may see these file types in the asset library:

  • .nam files contain neural amp captures.
  • .wav files can contain cabinet or reverb impulse responses.
  • Preset files store the blocks and their settings.

Upload these files through the manager. Do not use an absolute path or a path that goes outside the pedal data area.

Advanced: run the manager for development

This section is for contributors. A normal user should use the ready-made release image. The local command below turns off authentication and binds the service to this computer only.

Authentication is on by default when you use the release image. Do not expose a development service to a network.
